Whisky Collection Tracker

Track every whisky bottle from first pour to finish.

BarShelf gives collectors a clear record of the bottles they own, how much remains, and the pours they want to remember. Whether you spell it whisky or whiskey, your active shelf, drinking history, and finished bottles stay part of the same collection story.

A useful record for every bottle

Save the bottle name, category, ABV, volume, photo, purchase price and location, and opened date in one record. Those details turn a row of bottles into a collection you can search, sort, and maintain without rebuilding a spreadsheet after every purchase.

Fill levels that reflect your real shelf

Adjust the remaining volume as you pour so BarShelf reflects what is actually left. A quick fill-level update helps you spot bottles that are nearly finished and keeps the digital shelf useful when you are choosing the next dram.

Notes and pour history with useful context

Keep a general note on the bottle, then log a drink with its amount and an optional mood or note. Add a rating and review when you finish. Together, those records preserve what you poured and what mattered at the time without forcing every experience into a complicated format.

History and insights without losing the bottle

Archive a finished bottle to move it out of the active shelf while keeping its record, then unarchive it if needed. Overview summarizes the collection. Free users can preview Trends and Taste; Pro unlocks the full analyses.

  3. 3Log a pour with its amount and add an optional mood or note when useful.
  4. 4Archive the finished bottle and return to its history or insights later.

Whisky collection tracker questions

Does BarShelf work for both whisky and whiskey collections?

Yes. BarShelf does not restrict the spirit by regional spelling. You can track Scotch whisky, Japanese whisky, Irish whiskey, bourbon, rye, and other bottles together or organize them with categories, labels, and tags available in the app.

What bottle details can I save?

A bottle record can include its name, category, ABV, volume, remaining volume, image, notes, purchase price and location, opened date, rating, and review. You decide which fields are useful for your collection.

Can I record pours and notes for a whisky?

Yes. Keep a general note on the bottle, and add drinking-log entries with the amount poured plus an optional mood or note. A bottle can also carry a rating and review, so its practical details and drinking history stay together.

What happens when I finish a bottle?

Archive it to remove it from the active shelf while keeping its details, general notes, rating, review, and drinking history. Archived bottles can be viewed again and unarchived when needed, so a finished bottle does not disappear from your collection history.

Is the whisky collection app free?

BarShelf is available for iOS and Android phones. The free plan supports up to ten bottles and can preview Trends and Taste. Pro removes the bottle limit and unlocks the full analyses alongside other Pro features.
